UPDATE FROM CHRIS AND TEAMO

It has been about 9 months since Teamo went to live with Chris and his family for good.
I had the opportunity to have lunch with Teamo, Chris and Chris's mom Jody right before Christmas. On Chris's request I am writing in his words how things are going for the two of them.
Teamo and I are going great, I love her so much. She's really funny in the morning she is so thrilled to get fed and taken out.
" After breakfast we have playtime with my favorite pink ball." says Teamo.
Teamo loves the snow! She always sticks her nose in the snow, you would think that would be cold but she loves it. Teamo has been helping me a lot with picking up things I drop. When we take a nap together she always keeps one paw on me.
We go for a walk once a day but when it is really cold we do not go to far.
At night she gets her nite nite treat before bed. It's Paw's ice cream treats for dogs. She circles 3 times before she gets it and lays down and puts it between her front legs. Teamo has a lot of toys but she usually tears them apart. Then we throw them away and get a new one for her. She always goes to destroy the squeaker first.
Teamo picked her presents from under the tree, she was very sneaky.
We are so happy together and I love her very much.

Teamo/Chris Update

Teamo and Chris are continuing to do well. They've moved to a new home and are rarely separated. AAD checks in with them about once a month and we are so pleased with how they are doing. Keep up the good work!!

CONGRADULATIONS!

It was a great birthday for Chris. Chris and Teamo passed their public access test with flying colors and are now a certified team. For the past several weeks Teamo and Chris have been working with a trainer to brush up on the skills it takes to take and pass a public access test.
This test is the last in the steps to becoming a certified team. The two must act as one and each must know what the other is doing at all times. Teamo watches Chris's every move and anticipates what Chris is asking before he has even given a command. We are looking forward to a graduation celebration in the near future. Stay tuned for words from Chris.

Teamo has been very busy! Here in this picture she was attending a celebration for another service dog. This photo was taken from the Pioneer Press. Currently Teamo is working with her new client - Chris. They have been practicing skills and spending a lot of time together. She absolutely loves Chris and his family so we're very excited about this team.

The End Of The Day

After a long day of training at Home Depot, going to work with Deb for a couple of hours ( where I have to be a good girl and lay under the desk),
and then having the afternoon to play with other dogs....
Lying down next to the newest member of the American Assistance family is a great way to end the day.

Teamo Goes To A Wedding Reception

At the end of May we had a chance to see how Teamo would do in a very controlled environment. We were invited to a wedding reception and Teamo went along. As you can see from the picture the bride and groom were happy to have Teamo at the reception. What a training tool this was. Teamo had to pay attention to me, not the children running about, not the caterer serving the food, just me. Teamo did wonderful. During supper she layed under the table without making a peep. While I was in line getting my food at the buffet table I was able to put Teamo at a down and walk to the end of the buffet table and then come back and get her. Yes, Amazing!

Teamo being a dog

People think we work these dogs 24/7 when in reality, they have "work" time and they have regular "dog" time. Here is Teamo playing ball with her trainer family:
